As SEL takes center stage, this course shifts teachers’ focus from course curriculum to climate and culture.  In education, students are tourists, classes are tours, and teachers are tour guides leading the journey. First Day Finesse equips teachers with proven strategies and creative methods that turn classrooms into spaces that feel natural, easy and familiar. It equips educators with intentional strategies that strengthens student efficacy, establishes teacher credibility, and nurtures meaningful student relationships from the very first bell.  First Day Finesse - Full Version is divided into chapters that come with a recoded lesson, guided notes and reflective writing assignments. The prompts are centered around common unspoken questions from the student’s perspective such as “Can we trust you?” , “How do you manage your classroom?” , and “Are you approachable?” Teachers have the opportunity to dive in and address these with deep thought and self assessment for professional improvement.
